A contestant from McLoud, Ross Clayton, made his debut on the season 23 premiere of NBC's hit show 'The Voice' with judges Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Chance the Rapper. Clayton's rendition of 'Blue Ain't Your Color' earned him a four-chair turn. Despite Shelton's attempt to sway Clayton with talk of their shared Oklahoma roots and potential gigs, the first-year coach, Horan, got down on one knee and begged Clayton to join his team, ultimately becoming the first member of Horan's team. Clayton, who took a break from singing to focus on his family, is a father of three and is now back on stage.

Chris Rock expressed his weariness in discussing Will Smith's infamous Oscars slap incident, but he emphasized that it did indeed hurt him. During a live Netflix comedy special, the 58-year-old comedian delved into the 2022 Academy Awards altercation, stating that anyone who believes "words hurt" has never been physically hit. Will Smith had previously attributed his actions to bottled-up anger.
The incident sparked conversations about America's tolerance for casual violence, as Smith remained at the ceremony and later received his first Oscar for Best Actor. Rock, who received praise for his composure following the confrontation, addressed a range of topics in his streaming service's inaugural live comedy show, Chris Rock: Selective Outrage. These included issues surrounding woke culture, politics, and Meghan Markle.
Rock acknowledged the Smith altercation by stating his intention to avoid offending anyone during the show, quipping that he never knows who might get triggered. He also made a comment about the state of America, stating that if the Russians were to visit now, half the country would be willing to hear them out due to the current societal chaos.

Harrelson added: "I threw the script away. I mean, who was going to believe that crazy idea? Being forced to do drugs? I do that voluntarily all day."
The joke seemingly referenced lockdown measures in 2020 to stop the spread of COVID, as well as medically recommended vaccine booster shots.
As of Feb. 23, 69.3% of Americans are fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A September 2022 study by the CDC determined a primary series of the vaccine in addition to a booster was significantly more effective at preventing hospitalization than only a primary series. This applied to adults who are and are not immunocompromised.
Now 61 years old, Harrelson's day job remains the same. He's spent the last 38 years yo-yo-ing back and forth between TV and movies, comedy and drama. Versatility is his calling card.
"I've always been much more partial to the more indie spirit, you know, the movies that have this kind of deep heart," he said. And "Champions," his latest, "definitely has heart."
Harrelson plays a prickly but charming basketball coach with NBA dreams, who finds himself coaching a team of players with intellectual disabilities called "The Friends." Before the first day of shooting, director Bobby Farrelly (whom Harrelson first worked with 27 years ago on "Kingpin") told him the first scene he'd shoot, when his character meets the team for the first time, would be almost entirely improv.

On Sunday, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally will step into the ring to face off in a one-on-one showdown. The fight is the third attempt to get the brash young men, both known more for their non-boxing exploits than their fight careers, in the ring.
The fight has been branded as "The Truth" by promoters and there may be no more apt label as much will be revealed about both Paul and Fury (Sunday, 2 p.m. ET, ESPN+ PPV).
Despite facing a constant stream of criticism from boxing "traditionalists," Paul has proven a dedicated boxer who uses his resources, gained from time as an actor on Disney Channel and a successful career as an influencer, to put together serious training camps. Still, his profile has led to a non-traditional list of opponents because he can't face the low-level, no-name competition that makes up the start of almost every professional boxer's career.

Rumors that Burgos and the Boston Celtic are an item have been floating around since last year, but a photo that shows the two looking pretty booed up has the internet calling it official, and, well, people have their opinions.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “DAMN, she’s fine. Bruh, I would curve the entire Celtic’s cheerleading squad just to run Bernice’s bath water just ONCE!”

Nairobi — Kenya Medical Research Inistitute (KEMRI) researchers have detected a new dangerous mosquito vector dubbed 'Anopheles Stephensi' that thrives in urban and rural areas.
The new mosquito vector was fast detected in Laisamis and Saku sub-counties of Marsabit County in Northern region of the country with KEMRI and the Ministry of Health focusing research activities in the region.
KEMRI Acting Director General Sam Kariuki has raised concern that the new mosquito vector might reverse the gains made in eradicating Malaria as it spreads very fast and adapts to different climatic regions.
"Our surveillance studies indicate that the new vector, unlike the traditional malaria-causing mosquitoes namely Anopheles gambiae and Anopheles funfests, is not only invasive and can spread very fast to new areas, but also adaptive to different climatic and environmental conditions," Kariuki said.
The danger has been attributed to the fact that the new mosquito vector has the ability to thrive in man-made containers, such as jerry cans, tyres, open tanks, sewers, cisterns, overhead tanks, and underground tanks and in polluted environments.

Just about six weeks ago, Xavier went to Finneran Pavilion and beat Villanova. That was Xavier’s offense at its high-octane finest. Souley Boum was 10-10 from the line on his way to 22/10/6. Zach Freemantle stole the headlines though, shooting 12-17 from the floor and putting up a cool 29/11/4 with 0 turnovers. Nova had enough to keep it close, but they never had an answer to Xavier’s star forward.
A lot has changed since that game, most notably that Freemantle has picked up an injury and sat out five games. Xavier has had their two worst performances of the year, losing by single buckets at DePaul and Butler. Despite that, they’ve more or less kept their heads above water, treading through injuries and bad games to hold onto the final spot in the early top 16 reveal and the same #16 ranking in the polls. According to Bart Torvik, that 7-4 spell has seen Xavier play like the #26 team in the country.
